Armchairs

An armchair is chosen by its seat height. Low and enveloping for the living room, higher and more upright for a table: our models cover both uses, in velvet, bouclé and woven fabric.

Living room or table

With a seat height between 40 and 45 cm, the armchair goes with a sofa: you sink into it, legs stretched out in front. At 48 or 49 cm, it serves as a chair with armrests, at the head of a table or in front of a desk. It is this measurement, shown on each product page, that determines the use, far more than the width.

Swivel or fixed

Several of our models swivel: handy in an open-plan living room, where you move from conversation to screen without moving the seat. The others are fixed, and what they lose in flexibility they gain in stability.

Measure the package, not the armchair

An armchair runs into a doorway more often than you might think. The package dimensions are shown on the product page: compare them with your doorway. For the same model, the version without armrests saves around fifty centimeters in width and about ten kilos.

Frequently asked questions

Will this armchair fit through my door?

Compare the largest dimension of the package, shown on the product page, not that of the armchair.

What is the difference between a living room armchair and a dining armchair?

The seat height: 48 to 49 cm for the table, at chair level, versus 40 to 45 cm for the living room, lower and wider.

Are velvet and bouclé cared for in the same way?

Yes: regular vacuuming, a white cloth and soapy water on a fresh stain, a professional beyond that.
