A patinated cream white, a contrasting neck, a slightly grainy fiber cement: the Antica collection is recognizable by these three signs. It brings together vases and planters, with a straight or flared neck, from console size to the large piece that stands on the floor.

Straight neck or flared neck

The straight neck extends the body of the pot in a single vertical line: it tames a trailing plant and slips against a wall. The flared neck opens up the silhouette and gives breathing room to broad foliage. In the same room, both necks sit well together, as long as you keep to a single shade.

The patina reveals itself up close

The fiber cement keeps an irregular grain on the surface and slight variations of cream, more pronounced on the edges and around the neck. The finish therefore varies a little from one piece to another, and that is what gives the collection its found-object feel.

Repot with two centimeters of clearance

To slip an artificial plant or tree into a planter, measure the height and diameter of the original plastic pot, then add two centimeters. This clearance is enough to lower the root ball in straight without forcing. Beyond about fifty centimeters in height, the planter is best kept on the floor rather than on a piece of furniture.

Frequently asked questions

What size planter for an artificial tree?

Measure the height and diameter of the original pot, then add two centimeters of margin. This gives you the minimum compatible size.

Is the collection suitable for a terrace?

Yes, fiber cement is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. On an exposed terrace, a sheltered spot preserves the cream white patina longer.

How do I clean a patinated surface?

A dry cloth or a soft-bristled brush removes dust lodged in the grain. Avoid abrasive sponges and stripping products.
