Stripes Collection

Stripes candles feature a metallic finish that catches the light, with no scent at all. The collection includes pillars in two heights, a gift box of small candles and slim tapers designed for candlesticks.

The metallic finish on the table

A metallic finish doesn't behave like matte wax: it reflects the light of other candles and of the glassware. Place these candles where light moves around, in the center of a table or in front of a mirror. On a dark sideboard, two or three candles warm up the whole corner.

The taper candle and the pillars

The slim candles slip into a candlestick or a candle holder with a socket, while the pillars stand flat. Before choosing a taper, measure the diameter of your candle holder's socket: a few millimeters are enough to make the candle lean. The pillars stand on their own on a saucer or in a lantern.

Pairing the pillars and the gift box

The gift box of small candles serves as punctuation around a taller piece. Line up three or four small candles in front of a pillar, or scatter them across the table between the plates. The effect comes from repeating the same finish, not from the number of colors combined.

Frequently asked questions

Are these candles suitable for an antique candlestick?

The slim model is designed for a candle holder with a socket, provided you check its diameter. A candle that is too narrow can be wedged with a little paper; one that is too wide won't fit.

Does the metallic finish stay visible with use?

The wax melts from the center, and the outer edge keeps its appearance the longest. A flame shielded from drafts helps keep the edge even.

Does a pillar candle need a base underneath?

A saucer or a tray is enough, especially on waxed wood. The glass of a lantern also protects the flame and concentrates the reflections.
