Bari Collection

Bari follows a single idea all the way through: rounded volumes, a tufted seat and a chenille velvet that feels soft to the touch. The collection brings together the sofa, the matching pouf and the sets that pair both pieces in the same shade.

The sofa and its pouf

The Bari pouf picks up the tufting and velvet of the sofa. It works just as well as a footrest in front of the seat as it does as extra seating at the end of the coffee table. The sets already combine both pieces in the same shade, so you don't have to match two velvets from different sources.

What tufting changes

The stitching that dimples the seat and backrest keeps the padding in place and creates an even relief. The comfort is enveloping rather than firm: you sink into it. In a room that's already busy, this relief plays the role of a pattern, and boldly printed cushions become unnecessary.

Living with chenille velvet

Chenille is a velvet with a short, dense pile: it catches the light less than a smooth velvet and holds fewer hand marks. Vacuum on low power in the direction of the pile, and blot a fresh stain with a white cloth without rubbing. The crevices of the tufting are cleaned with the flat crevice tool.

Frequently asked questions

How much space should I allow around the sofa?

Leave enough room for one person to pass between the sofa and the coffee table, around forty centimeters. Also compare the package dimensions, listed on the product page, with your door and staircase.

Is this velvet suitable if you have a pet?

The short pile snags on claws less than bouclé, but no velvet is entirely immune. Lay a throw over your pet's favorite spot.

Should I choose the sofa alone or the set?

The set makes sense in a living room where you entertain, as the pouf becomes an extra seat. The sofa alone is enough in a pass-through room, where a pouf would get in the way.
