Symmetrical Sofas

Two identical chaises on either side of a central seat: the symmetrical sofa is viewed as a composition, and is chosen first based on the space you have. Our Myra comes in bouclé, velvet and woven fabric.

No side to decide on

This is the difference from a corner sofa: the symmetrical sofa is identical on the left and right, so you have no orientation to choose. The two returns face each other, which places conversation at the center of the room rather than along a wall. In return, the living room must be able to accommodate it without wedging it into a corner.

Floor space, then the way in

A symmetrical panoramic sofa takes up a wide frontage and a lot of depth, since it extends forward on both sides. Measure the wall, then the two returns, and leave room to walk in front. Finally, check the route: the door, the hallway, the stairwell. Compare the package dimensions, listed on the product page, with your passageways.

Bouclé, velvet or woven

Bouclé adds texture and forgives seating marks, velvet catches the light and holds the imprint of a hand, while woven fabric remains the most understated of the three. The same Myra comes in several upholsteries: the product name specifies which one. A light fabric lightens the volume, a dark tone grounds it.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference from a corner sofa?

A corner sofa has only one return and comes in a left- or right-facing version. The symmetrical sofa has two identical returns and works just as well against a wall as in the middle of the room.

Does the upholstery change the care?

The routine stays the same: a pass with the vacuum on low power, then a barely damp white cloth on a fresh stain. Bouclé simply hides marks better.

How many people can it seat?

The central seat holds several people side by side, and each chaise lets you stretch out. The seating details are on the model's product page.
