Xmas Trees and xmas Tree Skirts

Christmas trees from 150 centimeters up to the large 320 model, pre-lit or unlit, and the skirts that dress their base: choose the height before the style. The collection also includes a potted cypress for an entryway or a corner of a room.

Height is measured against the ceiling

Keep about twenty centimeters between the tip and the ceiling, tree topper included. In a standard room, a 180 centimeter model fits comfortably; above 250, you need a generous ceiling height and clearance around the base. Also measure the diameter at floor level, as it determines how much room you'll have left to move around.

Fluffing the branches, the first step

An artificial tree comes out of its packaging compressed. Take the time to spread the branches one by one, from the base to the tip, offsetting the sprigs to fill the gaps. This shaping changes the look of the tree more than the decorations that come afterward.

What the skirt is for

The skirt covers the stand, the cables and any marks on the floor, and visually finishes the base of the tree. Choose one slightly wider than the spread of the lower branches, otherwise it disappears under the foliage. It also protects the floor from the friction of the stand, which quickly marks a wooden floor.

Frequently asked questions

How do you dust an artificial Christmas tree?

Use a feather duster, or the vacuum's brush attachment on the lowest setting, branch by branch and from the trunk to the tip. On flocked foliage, avoid a damp cloth, which marks the coating.

Pre-lit or unlit: how to choose?

A pre-lit tree spreads points of light through the depth of the branches and saves you from unwinding a string of lights. An unlit tree leaves you free to choose the shade and density of the light.

How do you store a tree after the holidays?

Fold the branches toward the trunk from top to bottom, then store the tree in a cover or a tall enough box. Foliage stored without being compressed opens up much more easily.
