Vases

Table and console vases in glass, blown glass, ceramic and stoneware. Freestanding shapes, a few hanging models, and ranges available in several heights to group in twos or threes.

The diameter decides what the vase holds

A narrow neck, around 7 cm, holds two or three very straight stems. A wide diameter, up to 30 cm, takes an arranged bouquet or an open branch. It is this measurement, more than the height, that changes the look of an arrangement, and it is shown on each product page.

Which height for which flowers

Our vases range from 8 to 53 cm: they are table, console and sideboard vases, not floor vases. The guideline to remember: a vase two-thirds to four-fifths the height of the stem. A 28 cm vase holds stems of 35 to 47 cm.

Blown glass, piece by piece

Each hand-blown piece has its own irregularities in thickness and tint: this is the signature of the process, not a flaw. Alongside, ceramic and stoneware offer matte, opaque surfaces, and the metal models more graphic silhouettes, to be kept away from humidity.

Frequently asked questions

Can they hold water and fresh flowers?

Glass, ceramic and stoneware are hand-washable and hold water. Metal models require a dry cloth and immediate drying, and the porous fiber cement pieces are made for dried or artificial flowers.

Does the same model come in several sizes?

Often: our ranges come in two to five heights. Each size has its own product page; open the one that matches the size you want.

Are there hanging vases?

A few models, between 8 and 25 cm, are designed to be hung rather than set down. Their product page says so.
