Flowers and vases

Everything you need to create an arrangement, in one place: the flower, the vase and the planter. Stems and foliage to choose one by one, table and console vases, and containers for plants that are already potted.

Three objects, three uses

The stem is chosen individually and arranged. The vase holds it: allow about 15 cm in diameter and around thirty centimeters in height for a table vase. The planter is noticeably wider and is used to dress a plant that is already potted. The product name tells you which one you are looking at.

Matching the stem and the vase

The guideline to remember: a vase two-thirds to four-fifths the height of the stem. A 28 cm vase holds stems of 35 to 47 cm, a floor vase calls for branches over a meter long. For a low arrangement, short pick stems are grouped in threes or fives in a small container.

Care depends on the material

Flowers and foliage are dusted with a dry cloth, a feather duster or cool air, and cannot be immersed. Glass, ceramic and stoneware vases are washed by hand in lukewarm soapy water. The exact instructions are in the Care Tips tab of the product page.

Frequently asked questions

Does the vase come with the flowers?

No, unless the product says so: arrangements arrive assembled in their container, stems are sold on their own.

What size vase for my stems?

Two-thirds to four-fifths the height of the stem. Diameter matters just as much: at around 15 cm, a table vase holds five to seven stems.

Can they be washed?

The flowers, no: a dry cloth is enough, and water should be avoided. Glass, ceramic and stoneware containers are washed by hand.
