Christmas Trees and Ornaments

A good tree is chosen by height first, then by silhouette. The collection runs from small ready-decorated trees to the fullest models, from unlit trees to pre-lit ones, with the baubles, garlands, hanging ornaments and wreaths that dress them.

Measure the height first

Take the ceiling height, then allow room for the topper so it doesn't bend. A two-and-a-half-metre or three-metre tree needs a high-ceilinged room, while a 180 cm model suits most living rooms. The shorter versions work well in a hallway or on a console table.

Full, decorated or wooden

The fullest models fill the corner of a room and need fewer ornaments to look dressed. The small ready-decorated trees sit on a console or in a hallway, ready as soon as they come out of the box. The natural wood tree takes a graphic approach: a few hanging ornaments are enough to dress it.

Pre-lit or yours to decorate

A pre-lit tree saves you winding an electric garland around the branches, and the light stays even. An unlit tree, on the other hand, leaves you free to choose the colour and density of the light. Either way, hang heavy ornaments close to the trunk and lighter ones at the branch tips.

Frequently asked questions

What tree height suits a standard ceiling?

Under a standard ceiling of around 2.50 m, a 180 cm model leaves room for the stand and the topper.

Is a pre-lit tree decorated differently?

Its lights are already spread through the foliage, so there is no need to wind a garland around it. Keep the decoration to baubles and hanging ornaments, set slightly back from the points of light.

How do I store an artificial tree from one year to the next?

Fold the branches towards the trunk, from the bottom up, then keep the whole tree away from damp. Fragile ornaments are stored separately, in a box with compartments.
