French Days

Flowering stems, foliage and candles: French Days brings together everything that refreshes a home without touching the furniture. Roses, ranunculus, hydrangeas, peonies and eucalyptus meet candles of every size.

Flowers without a garden

An artificial stem is placed once and keeps the same look all season. Our roses bear first names, Diane, Sophie or Sarah, and come both as closed buds and as open blooms. The bud draws a clean line, the open bloom fills the space: a well-judged bouquet mixes the two, as a florist would.

Play with heights

Lengths range from the small ranunculus stem to tall peonies of more than eighty centimeters. For an arrangement that stands up well, take one tall stem, two medium stems and some trailing eucalyptus foliage. Adjust the final height by sinking the stems more or less deeply into the neck of the vase.

Candlelight

A candle is chosen first by its diameter: a wide pillar lights a coffee table, a slim taper dresses a candlestick. Boxed sets bring together several of the same model, so you can fill a series of candle holders in one go. Always set the flame on a stable surface, away from stems and foliage.

Frequently asked questions

What vase height for a peony stem?

Choose a vase about half the height of the stem. A narrow neck keeps the stems upright; a wide neck lets them open out into a spray.

How do I care for an artificial flower?

A feather duster or a dry cloth is enough, petal by petal on roses. Avoid water, which marks the fabric and leaves rings on light-colored blooms.

Why does the same model come in several sizes?

Because an arrangement reads better with different heights. Take the large size for the centerpiece and the small one to frame it.
