Candle holders

A candle holder's height determines its effect before its material does: twelve centimeters simply sit on a table, forty-eight are put on show. Our models cover both extremes, in glass, metal and wood, from the table candle holder to the candle stand raised on a base.

Arrange by height

A single candle holder goes unnoticed. Group three of them, at clearly different heights, on the same tray: the arrangement gains rhythm. Too small a gap between two models, on the other hand, looks like a mistake. On a dining table, stay below eye level and keep the tall pieces for a console, a mantelpiece or an entryway.

Glass, metal or wood

Glass fades away and leaves the flame on its own. Metal reflects light and is enough to warm up a dark tray. Wood brings a matte, calmer texture that works well in a light room. In a single arrangement, two materials at most: beyond that, the group loses focus.

Where the candle sits

A spike or a narrow collar calls for a taper candle, the kind used in candlesticks. A wide plate holds a pillar candle set flat. If the candle wobbles in its socket, let a few drops of hot wax run into the bottom: they lock it in place as they cool.

Frequently asked questions

Does the same model come in several heights?

Yes, several models come in two or three heights, with the dimension given in the product name. The design itself stays the same.

How do you clean wax off metal or wood?

Let the wax harden completely, then lift it off by hand. Then wipe with a dry cloth, and avoid water on wood.

What's the difference between a candle holder and a candle stand?

The candle holder stays low and lives on the table; the candle stand rises on a base and is admired from afar. The product name tells you which of the two you are choosing.
