Dining Tables

The table where everyone lingers. For four every day, for six or eight when the family comes over: a dining table is chosen by the number of guests, and some of our tables extend for the length of a meal.

How many seats?

Allow 60 cm of width per place setting. A 1.40 m table comfortably seats four, a 1.80 m table seats six. Extendable models gain a leaf: the table stays compact day to day and expands for large gatherings.

The space around it

A table needs clearance: allow about 80 cm between its edge and the wall, to pull back a chair and walk behind. It's often this circulation space, more than the table itself, that decides the size.

Height, seating and care

Our dining tables are between 73 and 76 cm high, the standard height for sliding a chair underneath. Care depends on the material: a dry cloth day to day, a barely damp cloth on wood, immediate drying on metal.
