Trees and Planters

A tree is judged as much by its container as by its foliage, and this selection brings the two together. You'll find trees and potted plants, from a 64 cm cactus to a 210 cm cherry blossom tree, alongside Terra fiber cement planters, from 22 cm to 45 cm in diameter.

Diameter before looks

A planter is chosen by its measurements, not by impression. Leave about two centimeters of clearance between the tree's pot and the inner diameter of the planter: the tree slides in without forcing and stays upright. Both dimensions are listed on the product pages, so just compare them before deciding.

Height is set by the room

Heights range from around fifty centimeters to over two meters. A 130 cm ficus or a 150 cm bamboo stands on the floor, beside a sofa or in a corner. Above 180 cm, the Kwai palm and the cherry tree need ceiling height and enough distance for the foliage to be seen in full.

Fiber cement, indoors and out

Terra planters are made of fiber cement, a dense material whose surface recalls stone. It withstands moisture and sun, so you can move it from the living room to the terrace as the seasons change. A drainage hole in the bottom prevents standing water if you put a live plant in it.

Frequently asked questions

What planter diameter for my tree?

Take the diameter of the tree's pot and add about two centimeters. The planter's inner diameter is listed on its product page.

Are these planters suitable for a live plant?

Yes, thanks to the drainage hole in the bottom. Indoors, place a saucer under the planter so the water doesn't mark the floor.

How do you care for an artificial tree?

A feather duster or a dry cloth over the leaves a few times a year keeps the color crisp. Avoid spraying water on the foliage, which leaves a ring mark as it dries.
