Green Blown Glass Vases

The green of blown glass is never the same twice: that is the first thing to accept. This collection brings together mouth-blown vases, from the small 17 cm format to 38 cm silhouettes, with smooth, faceted or cut surfaces.

Choose the height before the shade

Heights range from 17 to 38 cm, and this measurement governs everything else. A short vase sits on a nightstand or a narrow console table, where it stays at eye level. A 38 cm vase needs a clear surface, a sideboard or a pedestal table, otherwise it overwhelms its neighbors.

Green comes alive on a light background

The green of blown glass comes alive with the light passing through it: in front of a window or on a pale surface, it casts translucent reflections, whereas against a dark wall it fades. White, light wood and sandy beige leave it all its depth. White or cream dried stems carry this harmony further.

Smooth, faceted or cut

Three families make up the collection. The smooth vases, such as the Olivine and the Vertone, offer a continuous surface where the shade reads as one. The faceted Gemma breaks the light into crisp planes and gains presence on a bare table. The cut Verdalys plays on a worked rim, most noticeable when empty.

Frequently asked questions

What stem height for a 25 cm vase?

Choose stems that extend above the neck by at least a third of the vase's height, around thirty centimeters for this size. Any shorter, and the flowers disappear behind the glass.

How do you clean the inside of a blown glass vase?

Lukewarm water, a little white vinegar and some soaking time are enough to remove limescale film. Avoid metal bottle brushes, which scratch the inner wall.

Why don't two vases of the same model have the same shade?

Because each piece is mouth-blown. The thickness of the wall varies, and the green looks deeper where the glass is thicker.
