New Furniture Arrivals

A new piece of furniture is judged by the place it takes in the room, not by its arrival date. This page brings together our latest seating: straight, modular and convertible sofas, armchairs, poufs, a TV stand and coffee tables.

Start with the main seating

The sofa decides the rest: its length determines the wall it occupies, its depth the circulation in front of it. Choose it first, then complete the look with a more understated armchair and coffee table. Corner configurations and large modular sofas need a room that is open on at least two sides.

Think of a modular sofa in sections

A modular sofa reads as a set of sections to bring together, not as a fixed piece: the same base can close off a corner on the left or the right depending on the room. Note the total length once the sections are assembled: that is what counts for the wall. Then check the access route, the door and the turn of the staircase.

Coordinating the occasional pieces

A coffee table is chosen by length first: allow about two thirds of the sofa's width. A TV stand works best when it is longer than the screen, to avoid the look of a top that is too tight. Finally, the pouf serves as a footrest or extra seat: it is the piece that moves around, so keep it light.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if a sofa will fit into my home?

Measure the door, the hallway and the turn of the staircase, then compare these measurements with those on the product page. The sticking point is almost always a corner, rarely the width of a door.

Do you need to choose the side of a corner sofa?

Yes, and the side is determined facing the sofa, from the room. Mark out the layout on the floor with tape before making your final choice.

What coffee table height goes with a sofa?

Stay at seat level or slightly below. A taller table blocks the view and makes setting down a glass awkward.
