Gabriel Collection

The Gabriel sofa bed plays two roles at once: a bed concealed beneath the seat, and a storage chest with a walnut-effect finish. The collection offers it as a straight model and as a corner version, left- or right-facing.

Positioning the corner in the room

A corner sofa is decided on the living room floor plan more than from a photo. Identify the most open wall, then the path people take to cross the room: the long section fits against the wall and must never cut across this path. A window behind the seat is less of a problem than a half-open door.

The bed, then the storage chest

Gabriel's seat hides a spare bed, enough to put someone up for a night in a living room without a guest room nearby. The storage chest answers the next question, that of the bedding you need to store somewhere. Its volume varies by model and is shown in the dimensions on the product page.

Clearance in front of the seat

A sofa bed needs space in front of it, not just against the wall. Mark the dimensions given on the product page on the floor with masking tape, then check that a coffee table will not get wedged in. Finally, check the width of your door and the turn of your staircase.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if a corner is left-hand or right-hand?

Stand facing the sofa: if the long section extends to your left, it is a left-hand corner. Both orientations are available in the collection.

Does the bed sleep two people?

That depends on the model chosen. The bed dimensions are shown on the product page; compare them with those of a spare bed before deciding.

Is Gabriel available without a corner?

Yes, the collection includes a straight sofa bed model. It suits rooms where a corner would eat into the walkway.
